Yining Sun, an undergraduate from the Class of World Literatures and Cultures, ranked second in the College Entrance Examination of liberal arts in Beijing and won the Second-Grade Scholarship for Freshmen of Tsinghua University. She graduated from the Affiliated High School of Peking University. During junior high career, she was awarded the Headmaster’s Award, Mizuho Scholarship, Top 10 in the Global Final of Destination Imagination creativity tournament. During senior high career, she was awarded the Diploma with Honors, and won the National First Prize (Top 20) in the 15th National Creative English Contest, the First Prize (First place) in the 2016 Contest on Key Concepts in Chinese Though and Culture (Individual), her paper for the Contest on Concepts will be included in “Essays of Key Concepts in Chinese Thought and Culture”, which has been included in the 2018 publication plan of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. She attended lots of exchange programs during junior and senior high, including the programs with Chitralada (Thailand), Nanyang Girls’ High School (Singapore) and Ressu Upper Secondary School (Finland). She is a National Level III Athlete in aerobic gymnastic, and won the first place in the National Aerobic Gymnastic Championship. During junior and senior high, she also attended tournaments in Beijing for several times and won the First Prize.
